Conexess Group is aiding a local healthcare client in their search for a Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery analyst. This is an 18 month contract with the potential of being brought on full time. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to coordinate routine updates using detailed information that supports the business continuity & disaster recovery procedures. This person will be asked to provide business guidance, standards, and consultation to the business unit and IT leadership specific to global business continuity and disaster recovery best practices. This person will also perform periodic reviews and tests of established Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans and Procedures, reporting findings to management coordinators.


• Perform Business Impact Analysis with business process or product owners and document results for reporting and analysis
• Work with business unit leadership, operations, application owners, and development to develop and maintain viable recovery plans 
• Assist in the recovery exercises; includes tracking, follow-up and reporting required to resolve all technical issues identified, to ensure the organization’s ability to recover, in the event of a disaster. 
• Assist in performing data center recovery capacity planning coordination with technology groups in support of specific business unit current and new initiatives, with a major focus on proactively assuring an adequate recovery environment. Schedule testing of the recovery environment(s) to ensure functionality and capacity requirements have been met. 
• Monitor and report on the completeness of all required disaster recovery job flows and backups 
• Coordinate disaster recovery activities with alternate recovery data center personnel, interaction with site personnel, attend planning sessions; facilitate installation & maintenance of recovery equipment 
• Coordinate business recovery activities with business unit personnel, interaction with site personnel, attend planning sessions
• Interface with operations, development, business units, 3rd party vendors on related recovery issues and other relevant matters
• Guides the design, development and documentation of system recovery workflows and various implementation activities that deliver recovery solutions required of the business
• Maintain currency in technology areas related to Business Continuity and Advanced Recovery; attend appropriate vendor meetings and conferences, as required

• Requires on call 24/7 support in certain situations
• Defines quality attributes and/or develops basic test scenarios to support unit and functional testing
• Communicate the business directives, goals and needs to the technical team and serve as business interface from the enterprise’s operational management team managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics
• Facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution and follow-up for all outstanding issues 
• Assists the organization’s business operations staff in developing content or other materials
• Recognizes, manages, or fulfils urgent or escalated issues 
• Applies general industry and regulatory compliance knowledge to the benefit of the business
• As directed, the BA will participate in an agile development team, ensuring features and functionality requested by users align with business goals for the product, particularly as goals and products evolve over time, as well as ensuring the right information is available to the engineering teams, with the right amount of detail, and at the right time
• Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed and makes recommendations in these areas
