We are working with a food ingredient manufacturer in the Mid-west in the natural foods industry that is looking for a Sales Manager. Title is TBD based on experience. This role is the first sales role in the U.S. so there is a great deal of growth opportunity. Our client is a European company that already has U.S. based customers and needs a hands on sales person in the U.S.! 

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):


  • Generate profitable sales by selling actual solutions that meet customers’ needs
  • Manage the customer relationship and the pipeline effectively
  • Identify likely and profitable opportunities – use time management accordingly with likely customers
  • Prepare, present and own a bottom up sales approach for accounts
  • Build effective proposals, based on customer needs, insights & the customer’s decision criteria
  • Build strategic relationships with decision makers in assigned accounts
  • Gain commitment to buy from customers
  • Take accountability for delivering against sales targets


Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Solid background in food ingredient sales – B2B sales experience
  • Ability to travel 60-70%.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work towards long term goals
  • Hunter mentality – stays motivated and doesn’t easily give up
  • Well organized, with the ability to work independently
  • Possess a positive attitude – happy to work individually and part of a team
  • Has the ability to mentor – as the role grows
