CM Analyst

Essential Duties:

Reviews Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to determine documentation required for each phase of a project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

 

  • Coordinates Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings with key internal stakeholders responsible for oversight of all aspects of a product's life cycle
  • Analyzes changes to product design, determining effect on end design and function
  • Works with Program Management and Engineering to define product configuration items
  • Identifies and processes Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for all departures from design baselines
  • Ensuring change practices adhere to the Fuse Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
  • Establish and maintains internal Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Ensures all released documentation supporting configuration items are current and true
  • Determines, reviews, and helps to prepare documentation necessary for change
  • Reviews change requests

 

Reviews Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to schedule, plan, and release various types of data packages to include:

 

  • Engineering Design Drawings and Schematics
  • Hardware/software product manuals
  • Version Description Documents
  • System Design Specifications
  • Test Instrumentation Plans
  • High-level block diagrams
  • Final Reports and Analysis

 

Develops and revises documents to meet the needs of Fuse clients, internal team associates, and Fuse engineers as follows:

 

  • Ensures documents are developed in accordance with Data Item Descriptions (DID)
  • Ensures Bill of Materials (BOM) reflects actual product design configurations
  • Reviews system engineering drawings and schematics

 

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years of experience working in engineering R&D, new product development
  • Understanding of MIL-HDBK-61A or ANSI/EIA-649B
  • Understands configuration identification concepts
  • Understands Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
  • Understands configuration change management
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of PDM, CAD applications (SolidWorks)

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM related field
  • Familiarity with MS Sharepoint
  • Basic understanding of computer networking hardware and software
