Responsibilities of a Customer Relations Specialist:

  • Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations
  • Developing accounts by checking customer's buying history
  • Maintaining and improving quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures
  • Route sales calls to the appropriate outside sales representative for further development and closure
  • Provide topnotch attention to detail and follow-up with prospects after contact is made
  • Self-motivate to source and vet new leads
  • Providing exemplary customer service
  • Documenting all activity through the company database


Requirements for a Customer Relations Specialist:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
  • FEARLESS phone presence
  • Team player mentality as well as self-motivation to achieve sales goals
  • Possesses a positive attitude and a strong desire to achieve top results
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
  • Ability to navigate search engines and other basic computer functions
  • 2-4 years inside sales experience and/or training is preferred
  • Prior success in achieving a monthly/quarterly sales goal
