Description

Pharmacy Care Concepts is currently seeking a part time Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Stockton facility. Duties include accurately pulling medication off of the pharmacy shelves, packaging, labeling and preparing for Pharmacist final review. Duties may also include processing and appropriately documenting backorders, as well as helping maintain inventory, emergency box/pyxis machines, non-sterile compounding and cycle fill.

Primary Functions:

  1. Pull medication off shelf and match with prescription label.
  2. Packaging prescribed medications accurately, according to the label, directions, dose and quantity prescribed.
  3. Applying prescriptions and auxiliary labels (if appropriate) to packaged medication, eye drops, topicals, oral solutions, etc.
  4. Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas.
  5. Document back orders with appropriate forms.
  6. Assist with medication brand changes for refill medications.
  7. Assist in maintaining an accurate perpetual inventory for all CII medications.
  8. Reconcile E-Boxes and processing Pyxis refills.
  9. Non-sterile compounding, using appropriate techniques and documentation.
  10. Cycle fill packaging and organization.
  11. Ability to swiftly and accurately maintain workflow in high-volume long-term care pharmacy.
  12. Understand technical terms and processes.

Required Skills

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Strong organizational and detail orientation skills a must
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment a must
• Experience with Framework data entry, DocuTrack and Microsoft Office a plus
• Proficient in dosage calculations
• California Pharmacy Technician License
