Rhode Island Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their office. Interested candidates should have a proven background of providing excellent customer service and data entry skills.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Prepares for customer inquiries by reviewing all customer data, typically the most used form of communication is email, must be able to write an intelligent, respectful response to customer, being friendly and understanding their needs is crucial to the job
  • Responds to customer inquiries by understanding inquiry; reviewing previous inquiries and responses; gathering and researching information; assembling and forwarding information; verifying customer's understanding of information and asking follow-up questions when needed.
  • Records customer inquiries by documenting inquiry and response in customers' accounts.
  • Customer service person is responsible for order entry within our existing operating system and accuracy is vital when providing manufacturing details of the customer requirements.
  • Must be able to analyze the customer data and determine all attributes and inform Engineering and manufacturing departments to insure correct Customer product will be manufactured.

Customer Service Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communicator
  • 2+ years customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with ERP systems
  • Excel skills preferred
