The Residential Treatment Counselor (RTC) provides daily oversight of operations of Unity Care Group’s THP+FC single site. This role is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to youth residing in the single sites. The RTC partners and collaborates on a team of treatment professionals with the overarching goal of meeting the permanency goals of the youth served in the THP+FC Program.

On Call & Part time Positions
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of experience working with at-risk youth or adolescent children in a residential setting.
Ability to thoroughly document, and in a timely manner, into Electronic Health Records for program-required documents
Must be a confident and responsible role model with excellent judgment
Must able to work well independently in high stress environments
Must display a proven dedication to youth through leadership and/or mentoring experience
60 completed college units from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with at-risk youth or adolescent children in a residential setting preferred but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
Monitor residents’ general health and safety; ensures residents are home at curfew and following house rules
Teach residents socially acceptable habits of behavior and appearance and how to behave in public
Demonstrate professional boundaries and appropriate self-disclosure when interacting with residents
Based on training, implement appropriate authority and discipline to set limits for behavior and help each resident practice independent living skills
Participates in the implementation of treatment plans, crisis intervention plans, and safety plans as created by licensed clinicians
Maintain a daily log which monitors each resident’s behavior and/or needs
Implement emergency procedures in the event of crisis situations – both behavioral and environmental.
Keeps record and receipts for expenditure and operates home within daily budget.
Coordinates and supervises educational and recreational programs.
Attend regular staff meeting.
Responsible for daily management of the single site to keep in ordinance with Community Care Licensing requirements
Generates own billings from the delivery of services as appropriate
Manages own documentation and prompt submittal of billing as appropriate
