•    Assisted living/residential care centers

•    Correctional facilities

PropacPayLess Pharmacy is looking for an experienced phlebotomist certified as a WA state MA to join our Special Services department. This position requires travel in the greater Portland metro area. Must possess phlebotomy skills, data entry functions, and the ability to work well with mental health customers. Must have WA Medical Assistant Certification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for monitoring necessary lab results
  • Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills and an understanding of patient confidentiality and team concept.
  • Performing phlebotomy requirements as prescribed by physicians, scheduling draws, re-draws and courtesy draws.
  • Perform proper monitoring and recording of labs, maintain charting system
  • Ordering supplies from laboratories and re-challenging new admits.
  • Communication with all pharmacy staff regarding anything pertaining to special services.
  • Ability to swiftly and accurately maintain workflow in high-volume long-term care pharmacy.
  • Understand technical terms and processes.

-Participates in continuing education, training, in-services, and attends staff meetings as required.

-Assists with projects as assigned and performs other related duties.

Required Skills

• Must have WA Medical Assistant Certification
• Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute.
• Accurate data entry skills is a must.
• Experience in pharmacy setting, LTC a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills along with problem solving skills required.
