This role is with a growing & successful dairy manufacturing company located in the Pacific Northwest. This Maintenance Management position will report into the VP of Operations and will be responsible for all maintenance activities in the manufacturing and distribution facility.

Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating all maintenance activities while leading the maintenance team
  • Develop strategies to improve overall reliability of production processes
  • Effectively lead, coach and motivate the maintenance team to achieve individual and company goals
  • Plan & direct the efforts of the Maintenance Department to maintain plant equipment and facilities
  • Provide technical oversight and coordination of project work
  • Monitors project schedules and budgets
  • Create, develop & maintain annual maintenance budget; including capital expense needs
  • Ensure that all equipment & facility installations/modifications meet or exceed all regulatory agency standards and comply with company policies
  • Review & recommend outside vendors and contractors
  • Coordinate with vendors to request materials and supplies for department
  • Communicate with operations and cross-functional departments to ensure priorities are meeting the needs of the plant and projects
  • Actively participates in all safety programs as needed
  • Ensure proper inventory control of parts and supplies
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and best practices associated with the industry
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 30 pounds
  • Travel occasionally to various worksites, vendor sites and other venues
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of maintenance managerial experience in a food manufacturing environment, dairy manufacturing strongly preferred, ice cream manufacturing ideal
  • Needs to have basic knowledge of PLC
  • Knowledge and experience with ammonia cooling systems is preferred
  • Must have good computer skills and proficient with Microsoft office and programs with a strong proficiency in Excel
  • Needs to be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, nights, weekends & holidays if needed
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment background, drug and criminal screens
