Our client is one of the largest global Tier 1 supplier to the Automotive industry and they are responsible for the largest Autonomous driving project in the car industry. We are collaborating with the client and pulling together an all-star team
Title: Area Manager for Test Tools EngineeringTask Description:
- The Area Manager is responsible for coordinating a team of tool engineers within a project
- Acts as primary management interface and escalation for all product system related issues
- Provides technical leadership in directing the efforts of the team in the development and production release of all relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with the product development process and customer expectations.
- Ensures engineering targets (quality, delivery timing, performance, etc.) for engineering deliverables are met.
- Ensuring design reviews are completed and productive
- Ensures the quality of all team deliverables meet standards and timing
- Ensure any required cross-functional design reviews or data sharing is completed
- Responsible for project planning
- Weekly meeting with customer and project team
- Requested Knowledge:
- Electrical engineer or technician or cognate studies
- Profound technical knowledge of automotive electronics products. Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements. Can anticipate customer requirements, even if not stated in customer documentation.
- Knowledge of product development engineering practices in the automotive field (e.g. Requirements management, Configuration management, Change management, testing and review techniques)
- Knowledge about ECU architectures (features, components, communication)
- Familiar with customer`s best practice and applied methods, processes and tools (e.g. system engineering & testing. Testing can be broken down into system, system integration, software & algorithm development)
- Capable to lead sub-supplier team and track progress
