Marketing Coordinator and Designer

Our client’s Marketing department is seeking a Marketing Coordinator and Designer with a rich set of design and layout experiences in direct mail and traditional print media, as well as in email design. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and adapting print materials including postcards, brochures, letters, envelopes, catalogues and other print materials, as well as for designing and adapting web-based materials including emails, landing pages, banner ads, skyscrapers and other materials for the travel sector.

As the Marketing Coordinator & Designer, you will create a high volume of creative pieces weekly, utilizing brand guidelines from our client’s company and travel partners, and working with team members or third-party contacts to coordinate final production. This role operates under direct supervision with the Marketing Manager and/or Senior Marketing Director providing hands-on guidance and leadership on most job duties. 

As the ideal candidate, you must be a self-motivated individual who is successful at multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting and comfortable while working both independently and collaboratively. Adherence to deadlines and ability to produce accurate and thoughtfully designed collateral are keys to succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing innovative ideas for direct mail design and layout.
  • Work directly with vendors to obtain quotes and track projects.
  • Prepare all designed files for print production.
  • Create and deploy hand-coded, mobile responsive HTML emails and landing pages including CSS.
  • Troubleshoot CSS and HTML coding and responsiveness issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, web design, web programming, advertising or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience producing product and marketing-related graphic designs.
  • Proven skills in layout design, catalog and brochure design, and typography.
  • Current with best practices of web design, including cross-browser compatibility, responsive design and web content accessibility.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Knowledge of file format types and how to create/edit (PDF, TIF, EPS, JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.).
  • Fresh aesthetic references, stylistic versatility, avid curiosity and ongoing self-education in current print and marketing design.
  • Experience in the travel and specifically cruise industry is a plus.
