We are working with a national food & beverage manufacturing company that is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager. This role will lead all continuous improvement efforts for two plants in Pennsylvania by supporting, training & leading CI initiatives/methods. This role will report into the Plant Manager.


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Instill a Continuous Improvement culture and support continual improvement to Food Safety and Quality programs
  • Develop, implement & manage capital projects to improve manufacturing efficiencies and contribution margins
  • Analyze resource utilization and recommend improvement initiatives
  • Seek out and eliminate waste in all plant functions
  • Track production performance and assist production in improving operational excellence
  • Create reports and charts to identify improvement opportunities and problem solve
  • Identifies and recommends expenditures in support of Food Safety and Quality
  • Lead Kaizen events to improve existing processes and strive to achieve sustainability
  • Travel as needed: up to 25% of the time between the two facilities (both are within driving distance)
  • Reports food safety & quality issues to immediate supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred but will consider a long and solid career in lieu of an advanced degree
  • Must have 5+ years of operations/engineering/CI experience in a food and/or beverage processing facility; dairy is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of managerial experience is required
  • Needs to have knowledge & expertise in lean manufacturing principles as well as knowledge of packaging and processing technology
  • Exceptional & strong analytical, problem solving, project management, interpersonal and oral communication skills are required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required
  • Must have strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft office and programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment background, drug and criminal screens
