We are working with a nationwide dairy manufacturer that is looking a Project Engineer!  This role will be the boots on the ground engineer controlling project elements for this dairy plant. They will coordinate with plant personnel, corporate and contractors. This is a great role for someone looking to be apart of a great team environment in a growing industry! 


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals/plans & consulting with management.
  • Defines project responsibilities by identifying project phases & element while assigning personnel
  • Reviews bids from contractors.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance standards and preparing cost estimates.
  • Supports commissioning of completed projects by confirming product performance & conducting tests.
  • Controls project schedules by maintaining & studying project plans & specifications, calculating time requirements
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan & schedule changes while recommending changes
  • Controls project cost by approving expenditures within approved budgets
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing & summarizing information
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules & regulations.
  • Upholds project data bases.
  • Sustains product & company reputation by complying with federal/state regulations.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience & management in a food/beverage/RX manufacturing environment. Dairy a plus**
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, etc)
  • Experienced & versed in CAD/CAM circuit design
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Operations & Corporate Engineering
  • Must possess good project management experience in terms of creating proposals/justifications, budgets, timelines, etc. 
  • Experience sourcing/managing contractors and overseeing projects.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process production engineering
