We are working with a natural/organic food manufacturer that has experienced a great deal of growth in the last few years. This role is located east of Fresno in Monterey County. Our client is looking for someone with a strong leadership background in QA from a food/beverage environment. Please apply if you are interested in working for an exciting, team oriented company.


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Maintains & support all aspects of Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory programs. HACCP, SSOP, Quality, Documentation
  • Provides guidance in interpreting and implementing governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies to ensure compliance
  • Manages QA expectations for a global network of international suppliers and manufacturing partners including assessing data generated to ensure compliance to food safety and quality initiatives and communicate effectively while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Troubleshoots or develop sustainable action plans to resolve any Food Safety, Quality or Compliance issues.
  • Provides technical support for product development including development of recipes, determination of benefits and assessment of new product ingredients; member of the New Products Committee.
  • Coordinates with Sales & Marketing to strengthen branded product specifications and assess required changes on an on-going basis.
  • Manages and mentor two QA reports as well as assigning direct work and appraise performance, reward and discipline and address complaints and resolve problems
  • Research the benefits of the product for the purpose of consumer education, branded product promotion and assessment of the product ingredients.


Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Degree in Food Science or in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Director or Manager of QA with a food/beverage manufacturing company
  • 5+ years of experience with a food/beverage manufacturing company
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally. Must need an up to date passport.
  • Organizational skills including time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail,
  • Proficient in documentation and workflow
  • Experience in leading teams & implementing key initiatives
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment background, drug & criminal screens
