NJTV, headquartered at the Agnes Varis NJTV Studio in Newark with additional studios at the Trenton State House and New Jersey City University as well as university content bureaus across the state, strives to engage the community and increase public awareness of critical local issues.


NJTV's keystone newscast, NJTV News with Mary Alice Williams, features statewide, issues- driven reports from the Agnes Varis NJTV Studio in Newark, the Trenton Statehouse studio and university content bureaus across New Jersey.


An immediate opportunity is available for a talented fundraising professional to join its development team to grow support for NJTV’s award-winning programs and community engagement initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify, qualify, and steward donors and prospective donors capable of gifts of $1K or more over time;
  • Develop and produce engagement opportunities and events in New Jersey to cultivate new prospects and donors;
  • Monitor progress and report monthly on progress against fund raising goals;
  • Analyze giving trends and donor responses; make adjustments as needed.


Required Skills

• Minimum of two years of fundraising experience, preferably in Individual Giving;
• Proven success fundraising in New Jersey and a knowledge of the NJ philanthropic landscape;
• Experience creating and managing special events;
• Valid driver’s license.

Excellent writing, editing and research skills; the capacity to manage a high-volume workload and changing priorities; the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced, team environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and fundraising databases.
