The Manager of Business Intelligence will be responsible for developing the BI strategy for the Company as well as core business logic, KPIs, reporting and the interfaces through which people access information.
Work across the organization to understand data needs and develop solutions that will allow for timely / informed decision making.
Develop and train on a strategic performance management framework.
Develop and execute the business intelligence strategy and strategic road-map and ensure cross functional buy-in and ownership.
Establish data / reporting governance process.
Work with IT to ensure data models are optimally designed to support the requirements of the business intelligence strategy.
Evaluate and recommend query and reporting tools to support user needs.
Develop plans to deliver a self-service environment for reporting and analysis.
Streamline / automate current reporting needs while developing and executing BI strategy.
Partner with Operations and IT to ensure alignment on prioritization, business needs and technical solutions for new initiatives.
Responsible for training organization on business intelligence concepts and tools.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required
7+ years in business intelligence, data engineering, or related field. Experience in a data and analytics intensive environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, business or economics. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience designing and implementing business intelligence solutions.
Ability to promote analytics across the organization and develop a performance management mindset.
Ability to effectively work across all levels of the organization to understand needs, assess gaps and gain buy in to the BI strategy.
Experience with data engineering and ETL.
Expert at SQL, data warehouse design, data modeling and performance optimization.
Strong balance of business, financial and technical skills with the ability to communicate and drive initiatives cross functionally.
Candidate must be resourceful, present well to management, and have the ability to take ownership over projects and recurring tasks.
Candidate must be willing and able to work in a start-up atmosphere with a wide range of responsibilities and deal with constantly evolving deadlines, requirements and challenges.
