The Research Education/Compliance Monitor's primary job responsibility is to assure the Baptist Health Cancer Research Network is compliant with all federal and local regulations, guidelines and policies so quality and timely data submission is delivered by coordinating a thorough audit and education system for the network and for Baptist Health Lexington Clinical Research Center. He or she must understand how he or she contributes to the health system’s vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families. Assists the Director of Research from the area served in the oversight of clinical trial education and compliance areas as they relate to the Baptist Health Cancer Research Network (BHCRN). Facilitate in the conduct of research in accordance with established federal and state regulations and guidelines
Responsible for compliance and staff education within the Baptist Health Lexington Clinical Research Center and those sites affiliated with the Baptist Health Cancer Research Network. This position is responsible for the supervision of audit preparation, implementation and site readiness for external audits and the planning and coordination of internal research compliance audits at all sites associates with the BHCRN and Baptist Health Lexington. Also included is the assuring of compliance with all FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, NCTN policies/guidelines and IRB policies. The education component of this position entails educating associated staff on new protocols, protocol updates, and regulatory factors including assisting with adverse event and protocol deviation reporting.
Desired Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in clinical research, biology, communications or related field.
- Minimum five years experience in a research environment specific to the discipline and/or significant total years experience in Clinical Research.
- Must be proficient with a computer including navigating websites, electronic data systems, electronic medical records, Excel, and Word.
- Current Clinical Research certification recommended
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management. Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory compliance accruing to NIH, OHRP and FDA.
- Demonstrate excellence interpersonal skills with proven written, presentation and verbal competencies; excellent telephone diplomacy.
40 hours a week, M-F
