A Commercial Roofing General Contractor, is looking for another motivated and talented individual to serve as Roofing Project Superintendent, Quality Control Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer for up and coming construction projects in Ft. Walton Beach area. The primary responsibility will be to supervise the field roof construction operations for projects awarded to the company and to complete the work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship detailed in the award specification. In the performance of this function, it will also be this individual's responsibility to protect and promote the company’s interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to discharge their duties and responsibilities which include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following;

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Roofing Project Superintendent
-Provide leadership to subcontractors, establish and/or maintain effective communication and relationships with all personnel involved with in a project.
-Have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the contract award, each subcontract agreement, the contract drawings, specifications and to assist the Project Manager in the development of the on-site procedures whenever called upon.
-Plan and review the construction schedule with the Project Manager including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment and manpower.
-To coordinate, direct, monitor and inspect the activities of the subcontractors and suppliers of materials to ensure compliance with the specification.

Quality Control Manager
-To verify that each subcontractor has completed his contractual requirements as condition precedent to beginning his work at the jobsite. This includes a Certificate of Insurance, a fully executed Subcontract, a Schedule of Values and a Safety Program.
-Ensure that all required permits or licenses have been applied for and/or obtained necessary for contractual obligations.
-Cooperate with, and direct when necessary, the activities of the inspection agencies, and to effect remedial actions indicated by the reports of these agencies.
-Conduct weekly safety meetings with the subcontractors.
-Generate Daily Production and Quality Control Reports annotating work done, labor and material employed throughout projects.

Site Safety and Health Officer
-To ensure that subcontractors enforce their UR safety program to include; conducting toolbox safety meetings, ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times and that the health and welfare of all employees is the first consideration reviewed by subcontractors.
-Implementation of our accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
-To ensure that necessary safety documentation is generated and accurately reflects the situation at hand.
-Responsible for the health and safety of people who work on our projects. STOP WORK AUTHORITY AT ALL TIMES.

Skills Required:
-Must have at least 5-7 years of roofing experience.
-Candidate must be able to read construction blueprints and site drawings.
-Have an understanding of three phase construction processes and method.

Computer Proficiency:
-Windows 8.2
-Microsoft Office Suite to include; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
-Adobe Acrobat
