Albelissa has been entrusted by our customer to find Process Safety Engineer.

This position will report through the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Department

Below are some details of the position requirements.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (chemical engineering or chemistry major)

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, technical and regulatory expertise for responsible Process Safety Technician group
• Capable of independent implementation and oversight of many of the work efforts described below:
• Coordination of the pre-work activities and facilitates Process Hazard Analysis for the complex, issues final report and provides oversight of the recommendation/action close-out process
• Monitors status of Management of Change (MOC)
• Audits MOC documentation for completeness and maintains electronic MOC forms and tracking database
• Audits Process Safety Information (PSI) and Mechanical Integrity (MI) documentation for compliance
• Provides process safety training, coaching and development for leadership, peers and contractor
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of the design and operation of the company’s facilities for reference when recommending/evaluating changes with respect to Process Safety

Experience and/or Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (chemical engineering or chemistry major) with 3-5 years experience, or High School Diploma (GED)/ Associates Degree plus 7-10 years experience in manufacturing/maintenance technical support function
• Technical background required
• Formal training in facilitation of Process Hazard Analysis and Revalidation preferred
• Experience in auditing PSM and RMP program elements preferred
• Prior supervisory experience desired
• Familiar with OSHA, EPA, API, NFPA and other regulations and standards
• Working knowledge of chemical/refining facilities and equipment
• Good computer skills
• Good interpersonal skills
