Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of technologically advanced commercial HVAC systems that advance performance, reliability and energy efficiency. In this role, your support testing operations of final unit through functional test at end of line. You’ll work with a company with an extensive history leading the industry in technical innovations and energy efficiencies. This is a direct hire position offering very competitive compensation and industry leading benefits, located in Faribault, MN 

Responsibilities:

  • Work hands on observing and developing new approaches and leads improvements for final product testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot test procedures, ability to work hands on, jump in and help out with test operations as necessary
  • Develop final product test protocols
  • Develop test fixtures and test software (LabVIEW)
  • Reviews all data obtained during test activities to ensure consistency with procedures.
  • Specify and acquire new test equipment
  • Schedule testing and provide technical support and work direction to operators performing the tests
  • Provide regular feedback on results of final product testing to management
  • Perform failure analysis of units during test
  • Write test procedures and documentation of basic steps for final product testing
  • Keeps quality management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during testing activities and actions taken to identify and improve the situation.
  • Provide assistance to Quality Manager regarding final testing

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering)
  • Three to five+ years related experience in a test engineering capacity with electromechanical products
  • Solid background in electromechanical products: ability to troubleshoot an electrical panel and understands how a valve works
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving of test procedures and final products
  • Able to modify LabVIEW programs for end of line testing
  • Experience implementing process improvement, mistake proofing and process control
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical schematic interpretation
  • Statistical and capability analysis knowledge
  • HVAC industry experience nice to have, but product training is available
