Supply Chain Analyst

 

The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst is responsible for forecasting, planning and management of inventory needs. Responsibilities include coordination with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies on hand to meet customer demand.  The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst will be required to mentor and train the other team members as well as help manage the transition to new planning system: Oracle R12. This is a contract to hire position in NW Minneapolis suburb (will be moving to downtown Minneapolis in October).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing product distribution over the planning horizon
  • Planning and managing inventory and supplier forecasts (Collaborative Planning and Forecasting and Replenishment/Rough Cut Capacity Planning)
  • Order management from suppliers to support demand while also delivering against monthly performance targets
    • Identifying and solving critical shortages
    • Communicating with internal customers’ expectations of availability and downstream impacts
    • Managing relationships with current suppliers to eliminate constraints and meet objectives
    • Minimize obsolete/aged inventory
    • Analysis, creation, editing, tracking, receiving of purchase orders for suppliers
  • Planning to balance total costs of supply chain including transportation, expediting, owned inventory and warehousing expenses
  • Develop inventory targets and manage procurement
  • Achieve desired corporate inventory turn targets
  • Support product development initiatives by ensuring all materials are available to fulfill launch requirements
  • Continuous Process Improvements:
    • Evaluate existing processes for continual improvement
    • Change management for future state capabilities
  • Manage supply chain costs:  owned inventory, freight and warehousing
  • Manage inventory obsolescence

 

Requirements:

  • Required: 1+ year of material planning or production scheduling experience
  • Preferred: Planning and Distribution experience
  • Preferred: Experience with Finished Goods planning
  • Preferred: Oracle R12 experience
  • Working knowledge of all MS Office programs
  • Knowledge of MRP/MRPII and various replenishment processes
  • Must be able to partner cross functionally
  • Must be oriented for continuous improvement
  • Bachelor’s Degree
