The Project Manager is responsible for leading the cross-functional team through the project life cycle in order to achieve customer expectations and company targets for all assigned projects. Extensive coordination with internal departments to meet timing schedules that supports assigned vehicle launches. Serve as primary customer interface for program related issues.

Program/Project Coordination (60%)

Closely work with engineering teams internally and suppliers, coordinate engineering development work to ensure 100% on-time performance for all customer software deliverables Ensure that all validation, testing, and development timing meet customer milestones and deliverables based on internal and supplier development schedules

Needs to work with the team closely to understand the status of the development, identify issue areas, propose solutions to those areas, and report the status to management as well as to customer on weekly and in some cases
daily basis

Create and maintain program timing plans to proactively guide projects through all phases of development and ensure progress is being made toward project completion and meeting customer expectations and deliverables. Identify potential project risks and issues, alerting team members, contributing to identifying solutions, and escalating when necessary. Ensure meeting internal and external gate requirements for project and present the status of the programs in management gate reviews.

Initiate, maintain, and publish program/project open issue lists, summary, and status. This has to be tracked daily and weekly to make sure all teams are on the same page.

Facilitate meetings and track open issues to closure, provide updates to issues as well as guide path or plan to close these internal and external issues.

Follow up with teams internal and customer to make sure that issues are being tracked, resolved, and closed.

Customer Interface (40%)

Act as the primary contact with the customer for general program issues.

Responsible for communicating the status of the software status to the customer and the team

Manage the overall open issues list generated from meeting with customer and internally. Follow up with individual team members to ensure issue tracked and closed per plan.

Lead project meetings and presentations with the customer, suppliers, and publish meeting minutes.


Four year college degree in the engineering or business fields.

Must possess a minimum of five years related work experience with two years program management experience successfully interfacing with the OEM customer and various internal departments such as product engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing. Tier 1 experience in automotive preferred. Must have thorough understanding of US OEM customer development sequencing and documentation. Must be a self-starter and proactive problem solver.
