Great opportunity for a knowledgeable and experienced HR Assistant to work for a growing corporate company in Pawtucket, RI.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new hires into company database and benefits programs as well as maintain accurate records of existing employees
  • Process employee garnishment calculations and ensure state compliance
  • Assists with the audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation
  • Process bi-weekly payroll: verify paid time off and overtime, check accuracy of time sheets
  • Coordinate all benefit enrollment packets
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; partnering with managers to understand and clarify needs
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Maintains electronic hiring systems ensuring timely completion of all required tasks, following up with management when necessary, and work closely with HR Director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience administering payroll and various human resource duties (this is not an entry-level position)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Ability to sensitively handle confidential company and employee information
