The Technical Service Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will: design, develop, integrate, and execute processes that meet business needs within the organization; manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise; be involved in long-term planning; contribute to the overall business technology strategy; and, execute other duties as assigned. 

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Participate in development and lead the execution of the service delivery strategy within Network Engineering and Operations
    • Be responsible for building strong long-term relationships with specific customers across the organization
    • Lead execution of Network Engineering and Operations enterprise and discretionary project efforts
    • Support Operations &Technology  (O&T) operational processes
    • Mentor individual project managers and technical leads as a player/coach to ensure appropriate support coverage and opportunities to achieve successful outcomes for enterprise initiatives
    • Provide the operational leadership needed to drive service, operational, and execution excellence
    • Be responsible for technical management duties of, and execution by, assigned Project Managers and Technical Leads
    • Provide accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and disciplinary action as required
    • Lead efforts to ensure customer service  delivery excellence for assigned efforts
    • Collaborate with O&T  teams to accomplish safe & effective support of corporate objectives
    • Manage cost control, quality, service and operations-oriented communications
    • Interface regularly with Engineering and Operations leaders to review the progress of service delivery within Network Services group
    • Ability to travel as required
    • Perform collateral duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of industry work experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Services as it relates to service delivery and project execution including a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role

Desired Characteristics:

  • Evidence of successful delivery leveraging formal Project Management, Agile (Scaled Agile), Program Management, and/or Service Delivery Management processes and procedures
  • Strong business acumen, previous enterprise network experience a plus
  • Ability to manage effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Effective team contributor and member / ability to function in role of player/coach
  • Ability to energize teams through inclusiveness and connection with people
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions / ability to prioritize and communicate critical or desired capabilities and requirements
  • Familiarity with project labor and material quoting tools
  • Ability to build trust by respecting the ideas and contributions of everyone
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
