Summary:

This is a Senior Executive Level position with a international film manufacturer that is looking to fill a new role! This position was created to assure that all manufacturing operations result in optimum capacity and meet high standards in quality, cost performance and schedule. This individual will manage the manufacturing strategic planning processes and review in depth issues and investment prioritization.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Supports the implementation & development of the manufacturing strategy in areas such as capacity building, technology development, sourcing & network optimization
  • Coordinate with various functions to ensure that the manufacturing strategy is aligned with business objectives
  • Implement & devise long term cost effective solutions for the company while ensuring that quality and safety rules are followed
  • Suggests best-in-class Operational Excellence practices to be used in plants globally
  • Develops strategies that align with the overall business strategy to deliver planned results
  • Act as a champion of lean/continuous improvements
  • Guides global manufacturing operations through analysis and resolution of issues
  • Supports manufacturing planning analysis for short & long range planning needs
  • Drives step-change process & investment reductions through technology improvements
  • Develop a technology roadmap focused on cost advantage and product differentiation
  • Interact with necessary departments and concerned stakeholders. Also interact with government representatives, industrial bodies and vendors

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Technology/Engineering is required. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration OR Industrial Engineering/Operations Research is ideal
  • 5+ years of management experience in dealing with manufacturing strategy/business issues
  • 15+ years of business experience
  • Experience with the polyester film OR packaging manufacturing industry is preferred
  • In depth business knowledge in one or more of the following is needed: Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of external packaging business environment – along with an understanding of competitive history and able to forecast next moves
  • Solid understanding of key drivers of manufacturing performance
  • Strong quantitative & qualitative assessment skills – critical thinking skills.
