Job Description:
Conexess is looking for a Teradata Manager for our client who operates on a global scale and is experiencing tremendous growth! They're desiring an individual who has at least 5 years of leading large-scale systems development and support teams.  The ideal individual will have the experience and the comfort of working with individuals of any level across an enterprise level organization!

Qualifications:

  • Five years experience leading large-scale systems development and support teams
  • Self-starter with a strong proactive work ethic
  • Strong resource and project management skills
  • Ability to influence, gain consensus and drive organizational adoption
  • Ability to build quick and effective work rapport with others; strong team-building skills
  • Proven problem solving, organizational, analytical and decision making abilities
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within a large organization
  • Broad understanding of Teradata environment and tools.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large automotive and/or retail businesses
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, modeling and governance practices
  • Teradata development and support experience
  • Experience with SAS Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the members of the NCD/Teradata team
  • Provide day-to-day coaching
  • Help to identify and achieve teammate goals
  • Provide career guidance
  • Develop annual budgets and manage to them
  • Develop long-term plans for best use of the technology and team in service of the corporate objectives
  • Develop KPI’s, report results and act to continuously improve performance
  • Provide a framework for identification, research, approval and prioritization of user and system work requests
  • Work with Retail QA Lead to assure all work efforts have Test Lead assigned and provide input to QA Plans
  • Work with the Teradata vendor support organization to assure continued and timely support and plan for the system updates and upgrades
  • Manage multiple simultaneous work efforts, balancing competing requirements and optimizing team resources
  • Define the roles and positions needed to successfully accomplish team objectives
  • Help to identify, recruit and select staff for team positions
  • Advise business owners and their IT liaisons on best strategies for solution delivery
  • With peers and management, contribute to the IT department’s planning, operations and governance function
