Talent Orchard LLC, has been retained by a large Federal Systems Integration firm to recruit an experienced Service Technician to resolve technical problems in a call center/help desk environment. This role is set for a period of at least 6 Months, with possibilities extension if the performance is up to the level of expectation. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of the largest defense contractors that has over $22 billion dollars in revenue and is a publicly traded company. The company works in a fast paced environment with over 84, 000 employees worldwide.


Position Description

Resolves technical problems in a call center/help desk environment. Uses expertise in customer service and technical knowledge gained from prior programming experience to resolve issues surrounding installation, usage, and training on software and/or hardware products

Duties to Include

  • Resolve printer issues namely toner replacement, paper jams, connectivity issues and printer maintenance
  • Knowledge and experience with Active directory
  • Address Incident tickets to include break/fix issues reporting using Remedy ticketing system
  • Conducts diagnostic reviews and produces error reports as requested by customers in order to identify and correct any problems
  • Support software and hardware for desktop users running Office 2013, 2016
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues pertaining to printers, copiers, and fax machines
  • Diagnoses and resolves moderately complex end-user hardware/software problems including remote access software
  • Performs new computer configuration and coordinates the workstation upgrade/replacement process
  • Participates in the deployment of new software platforms
  • Good knowledge of computer systems and local area networks
  • Troubleshoot with remote users on connectivity using VPN, Aruba Networks, Cisco AnyConnect
  • Good communication skills Set up and configure Blackberry, iPhones, iPads and Android operating systems
  • Executive VIP support
  • Able to manage and take ownership of technical issues
  • Provide updates & follow up with customers
  • Act as a liaison to other technical teams within the organization
  • Be familiar with WebEx productivity tools, AT&T conferencing Knowledge and experience with Active directory
  • Familiar with desktop operating systems Windows 7, Windows, 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Familiar with VTC, Cisco Telepresence and other video conferencing services

Education Required

High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience
