Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Oversee all aspects of the warehouse
  • Responsible for effectively & efficiently managing all (including but not limited to): scheduling, receiving, storage, engineering, integration, customization, safety, quality, maintenance, general warehouse, inventory & shipping activities to meet internal and external customer requirements and ensure compliance with company’s policies and goals
  • Maximize efficiencies and productivity, optimize labor cost expenditures and ensure safe operating practices and full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Communicate daily with warehouse operations and plant managers regarding inventory issues and inbound inventory
  • Manage budgets and reduce costs
  • Prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances; initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives
  • Develop, maintain & strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the organization who can provide information, assistance and support
  • Maintain knowledge of current production schedules to create & implement plans to accommodate inbound inventory
  • Conduct periodic safety, damage & shrink inspections of products, racking and equipment
  • Manage and supervise all warehouse staff; including hiring, training, scheduling and performance reviews
  • May perform warehouse duties as needed or required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred but will consider a long and solid career in lieu of an advanced degree
  • 7+ years of experience of management experience in warehouse operations & supply chain management is required
  • Warehouse experience is required; manufacturing and/or dairy experience strongly preferred
  • Must have strong leadership skills and strong proven ability to manage staff
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, FDA requirements/regulations
  •  Exceptional organizational, problem solving, decision making and technical skills are required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing environment is required
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comfortably in a variable temperature environment
  • Ability to check e-mails & calls after hours and on weekends as well as work flexible hours including weekends, other shifts and holidays is required
  • Must have strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft office and programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment background, drug and criminal screens
