CONFIGURATION DATA MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Description:

  • Provide Data Management (DM) support to the M109A7 program with the following activities.
  • Process contractual deliverables and related activities, maintaining a perfect on-time delivery record.
  • The tasks include notifications to the stake holders, coordinate the delivery activities between internal and external data management systems, monitor the deliverable process, update and maintain CDRL and SDRL status reports.
  • Establish data management procedures and guidelines, based on the contractual requirements and under the guidance of the Program Data Management Lead. Develop data marking guidance from contractual, legal and internal organizational requirements and provide guidance to the user community for contract data deliverables and non-deliverable data.
  • Maintain the CDRL delivery matrix, identifying authors, approvers, reviewers, delivery schedule and frequency, stakeholder notification set-back information etc.
  • Maintain CDRL supporting data, internal approval records, submission and acceptance records.
  • Develop contract deliverables reports. Support program meetings and provide inputs and requirements for metadata information. Set-up and maintain the program data environment, perform records management tasks in compliance with organizational records retention policies.
  • Manage accounts and permissions to the program data environment. Support the preparation and delivery of the Technical Data Package (TDP) and maintenance of the TDP elements. Support ISO, CMMI, customer, quality and corporate audits. Prepare data management procedures and work instructions in support of the program data management plan. 

 

Skills Required:

  • Experience with PDM environment objects and workflows. Working knowledge of DoD data management practices, and keen understanding of configuration identification sub-discipline. Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare reports and documents. Experience with teleconferencing applications, and working in a distributed environment.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with PTC Windchill PDM highly desirable. Expert knowledge level in Microsoft Office and databases. Familiarity with CAD applications, preferably PTC Creo/ProE. Experience and skilled at programming in .NET (Visual Basic, C#)

 

Experience Required:

  • 2-4 years experience in data management in a DoD contracts environment. Broad understanding of Defense Contract artifacts such as the SOW, contract attachments, CDRLs, DIDs, categories of technical data, and of non-technical program data, etc. 

 

Preferred:

  • 2-4 years experience in data management in a DoD contracts environment. Broad understanding of Defense Contract artifacts such as the SOW, contract attachments, CDRLs, DIDs, categories of technical data, and of non-technical program data, etc.
  • Expert level Windchill skills with additional configuration management experience.
  • Significant exposure to large DoD engineering contracting organizations highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the following standards is desirable. Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG) ANSI/GEIA-859: Data Management Military standards including: MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000 Industry standards including: EIA-649B, ISO 10007, CMMI Drawing standards including ASME standards such as MIL-STD-100.

 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience. DoD experience preferred, in an engineering environment with a demonstrated understanding of functional interrelationship of contracts administration, design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and logistics. The ability to read and interpret contract documentation (such as Statements of Work and CDRL's) and government/industry standards and specifications.

 

Preferred:

  • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM). NDIA Configuration Data Management (CDM) certification preferred.
