Medical Device Sales- Burn Account Manager, South-Western Region;  Young vibrant medical subsidiary of a well-established (since 1944) profitable and global privately held industrial company looking for a high energy person to join their rapidly growing start-up company established in 2010.  They have a new medical device product that is a game changer within the burn care marketplace.  They are looking for a sales person with medical sales experience in the burn marketplace (or minimally wound care sales background) who wants an exciting opportunity of selling a "first of its kind" medical device and relishes the idea of being a "market maker."   They are building out their elite team of Burn Account Managers across the USA with a targeted sales approach of calling upon select burn centers (Hospital and Surgery Centers) to introduce and sell a hand-held re-use-able medical device to burn and plastic Surgeons, the Directors of Operating Rooms,  Hospital Sterile Processing, as well as Material Management. This is a ground floor opportunity with huge advancement opportunities and they are currently in launch mode with their new OR Precision Hand Held Device (re-useable Capital Equipment with disposable component)!  

This position will have a strong emphasis on assisting the Operating Room Team in preparing for suitable patient uses and cases by training and conducting in-services, executing training programs, evaluations and implementation regarding safety, handling, operation, and maintenance of the product in hospitals, burn centers, surgery centers, as well as tissue banks within the Western USA.

The right person is a medical sales professional with high energy and welcomes the excitement of a young company who's goal is to be in the Operating Room with an innovative and highly differentiated product and to sell their products to meet sales goals as established by the company.
 
Position Location and Coverage

  • Best to be based in TX (Houston, Galveston, Beaumont, Dallas, Fort Worth or San Antonio) 
  • You will be home based covering the SW Region Burn Centers (90% of time) and Tissue Banks in TX, OK, LA and AR
  • Western Burn Account Coverage (select Hospitals with Burn Centers, some Surgery Centers and small segment of time in affiliated personnel within Tissue Banks).
  • possible 60% to 70% travel 

Compensation:

  • $130,000 to uncapped $145,000 total income possible: Base salary up to 80K plus 50K at Plan UNCAPPED commission bonus program

CAREER TIPS:

Required Skills

*BS degree (Business Degree or any major) OR a clinical background degree: RN (Registered Nurse), OR BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or other Sugical Background equivalent certification with sales experience.
*MUST HAVE one to three years of Operating Room or Surgical Sales experience within a hospital.
*STRONGLY PREFER Burn Experience or Wound Care Experience (best with burn background)
*Documented sales experience with performance to quota
