Job Requirements:

Support integrated program protection planning and execution in accordance with DoD 5200.39 and consistent with JAFAN and DoD series documentation.

  • Conduct a Mission Area Analysis to assess the protection status in the supported organization(s), to include:
    • In-briefs/introductions to senior leaders, key engineers and P2 stakeholders
    • Review program technical briefings and materials
    • Review existing protection documentation
    • Identify programs slated for accelerated fielding in support of combat operations
    • Identify programs within 180 days of milestone review or equivalent
    • Assess the status of protection within the organization
  • Prioritize programs and projects based on standard criteria and develop a work plan for implementation. Present the Mission Area Analysis and work plan to senior leadership of the organization for validation.  Continuously update the analysis and work plan.
  • Integrate and synchronize the overall protection effort by building and sustaining relationships with P2 stakeholders (PM, Program Security Officer, Information Systems Security, Information Assurance, Physical Security, Personnel Security and Counterintelligence leads) Create a plan for an integrated security environment that will protect technologies throughout the life cycle of a program.
  • Conduct Critical Program Information (CPI) assessment of programs and projects
  • Review, revise and/or provide protection-related documents to ensure mutual compatibility and comprehensive protection, including but not limited to:
  • Recommend interim protection measures upon completion of the CPI Assessment
  • Analyze threats to CPI and other sensitive information
  • Evaluate existing protection posture
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses
  • Develop protection measure options based on:
  • Codify protection decisions in a program protection plan
  • Assist with implementation, maintenance and, as necessary, improvement of protection measures

Required Skills
All personnel must be U.S. citizens who possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based upon a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last five years.
