Sales & Marketing Manager

The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing new business in the packaging, label and industrial markets. This role will manage customer accounts, implement customer strategies, and coordinate with various members of the organization to maximize profitability and contribution margin to the business.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Work aggressively to secure new business and product opportunities.
  • Develop and strengthen customer accounts in the packaging, label and Industrial markets.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and service.
  • Achieve and maintain specific sales goals within the assigned market area.
  • Make presentations to customers and markets on organization, products, and technical capability, service, and market trends.
  • Support and manage new and existing customer base through inventory control, handling of customer inquiries, customer complaints and other day-to-day business support functions.
  • Identify and secure new business consistent with business strategy.
  • Research and analyze market trends to include end use applications, requirements, pricing, usage, etc.
  • Provide recommendations based on research and analysis to management both the short and long-term direction of market trends.
  • Lead proactive development of bid pricing and contract negotiation pricing/terms.
  • Serve as a product and application knowledge expert for assigned market area in order to provide general process and quality knowledge to internal and external sources.
  • Provide information and conduct presentations on customers and market activities to management teams.
  • Coordinate with R&D, Quality, and Production
  • Must achieve goals without close supervision, be pro-active and self-driven willing to take ownership.
  • Accurately forecast monthly volume and contribution, track weekly/monthly sales data

Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with technical or business background preferred, Chemical Engineering a plus
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to aggressively promote products
  • 3+ years’ experience in PET Film business or related converting business preferred.
  • Knowledge of PET products, markets and competing films.
  • Travel as necessary is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS office etc)
