**CONTRACT-TO-HIRE**

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Reviews and evaluates claims and billings for reasonable and necessary charges.  Examines operative reports, procedures, and recommends appropriate payments of billing disputes as necessary.

LONG DESCRIPTION:

Experience: Must have experience in patient accounting, with knowledge of insurance and governmental programs,
payment posting and medical claims processing. Proficient with personal computers and healthcare patient accounting
software. Must have touch keying skills on a 10-key calculator and data entry skills (50-60 keystrokes per minute).
Experience with office software applications such, as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. is desired. Must be able, and willing to
work under minimum supervision.

Patient Payment Scanning, Posting payment from claims that are submitted from various payments.

Must have substantial math and analytical skills in computing percentages.
Work requires excellent judgment skills to resolve issues related to patient charges, payments and adjustments.
Must be able to prioritize work to complete essential functions in order to accommodate high work volume.
Must be well versed in claims submission requirements and compliance standards.
Work requires a significant level of initiative, self-direction and motivation to ensure timely and accurate work
performance.
Must be able to retain and comprehend information that can be applied to work procedures to achieve appropriate service
delivery.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills, able to prioritize work and work independently.
