JOB TITLE: NETOPS Project Manager
REPORTS TO: VP, Infrastructure and Systems Integration
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide Project Management Support to the Department of Defense Programs.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The NETOPSProject manager will support a wide variety Network Operations and Infrastructure Solutions task to provide Network Operations (NetOps) Infrastructure, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementation and transformation services and solutions to Department of Defense (DoD) agencies at locations throughout the contiguous United States (CONUS).zone areas. The services and solutions provided will address the development, acquisition, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of Air Force (AF) infrastructure and network operations, production, research and development, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) mission capabilities. The Project Manager will provide NetOps services and solutions to establish, operate and maintain the network and SOA infrastructure to support Air Force network operations, core enterprise services, infrastructure development and operations and telecommunications network mission areas.
Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment and work assignments. Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Insures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including sub contractor management, end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of the prime contractor and subcontractor tasks and tracks and reviews contractor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret Clearance. (Or be clearable into position)
- 10 or more year’s technical experience in Project Management in Network Operations, Infrastructure and Systems Integration.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Or equivalent in technical training)
- PMP is desired, but not required.
- Position may require extensive travel.
