Career Evolutions is seeking out a DatabaseArchitect for an exciting and growing international technology company with operations in Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent career opportunity with a compensation up to $120,000.
Working closely with the Head of Software Development and the CTO, you will be directly responsible for translating logical designs into physical databases. You will be an integral member of the team responsible for designing shared/distributed databases. And you will work closely with Application Developers to best understand how data will flow through various applications.

Typical Duties Will Include:
Oversee the ways in which data will be used by various applications and databases.
Be directly responsible for the definition of data dictionaries
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with data migration as needed
Design, create, and implement relational databases
Create strategies dealing with data acquisition, archive recovery, and implementation of databases
Work with application developers to create distributed databases, offering feedback and support as needed
Oversee the administration of databases and their related services, working closely with the infrastructure team to ensure the proper protocols are followed
Requirements and Background:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar field.
At least three years of professional experience working with and managing sophisticated systems and databases
A strong familiarity of data modeling and data structures for high-throughput and scalability
A thorough understanding of various Relation Database Management Systems as well as with big data solutions similar to Hadoop
An ability to write complex queries with a working history of various querying languages and query performance tuning
A proven background with several scripting languages as well as Linux OS/Unix scripting
Familiarity with the Agile method, having used RES/SOAP APIs a plus
Ability to travel on a national and international basis when called for
