The Federation of State Medical Boards is seeking an Executive Administrative Associate. The Executive Administrative Associate for the Chief Information Officer/SVP, Operations is responsible for managing and executing all administrative tasks required to efficiently and effectively support the Chief Information Officer/SVP, Operations. Requires strong knowledge of priorities, policies and practices, as well as working knowledge of the FSMB’s services and programs. The position will perform a variety of complex and confidential administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of office procedures. The Executive Administrative Associate must also have the ability to work independently, exercise judgment and initiative, as well as the ability to interact with FSMB executives, managers and staff.

Professional background required:
Education: Minimum Associate’s degree desired or relevant work experience.
Experience: Meeting and travel planning procedures; correct English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation; modern office methods and procedures, equipment and filing systems; business letter and report writing techniques; proof reading; record keeping principles and procedures.
Skills: Must be able to perform responsible administrative and clerical work requiring independent judgment with speed and accuracy; learn, interpret and apply organization policies; take responsibility for the compilation and organization of reports; compose correspondence; type accurately at 70 wpm; meet the public tactfully; and courteously answer questions in person or over the telephone. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; have outstanding communication skills and be a team player.
