CONTROLLER - LIVONIA, MI (DIRECT HIRE)

At Conexess we strive to connect talented professionals with exciting opportunities. One of our clients in Livonia, MI is currently experiencing fantastic growth on a local/national-scale and is looking to add a Controller as a direct-report to the Principal Owner.

Job responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and the general ledger function.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Prepare and provide analysis of monthly financial statements
• Reconcile monthly bank statements
• Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Manage and oversee bank and financial audits with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with bank reporting requirements
• Monitor and maintain appropriate insurance coverage levels
• Analyze, review and enhance current financial and accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications and competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 4-5 years plus of accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close
• CPA preferred
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and use exceptional organizational skills and work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
