Job Description

Conexess Group is seeking a SQL Servier DBA to join our team!  This person will administer databases, with a primary focus on setup, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and developer support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintains several database environments (SQL Server 2014); applies updates, maintenance packs, patches, & fixes for all environments.
• Performs SQL Server upgrades.
• Maintains and manages database reporting infrastructure.  Participates in design.
• Monitors server performance and recommends changes as needed.
• Works closely with developers, support and QA teams to maintain all DB environments.
• Refreshes databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
• Performs database administration activities including; installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
• May perform installation, configurations, and maintenance for clustered database servers.
• Performs database TSQL reviews and provides input to database design.
• Writes and reviews stored procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

---5 years of experience as a DBA
---Experience with SQL Server 2012/14
---Strong organizational and time management skills
---Strong communication, writing, and editing skills
---Able to design databases according to industry standards and make tuning recommendations
---Able to write and optimize complex queries
---Advanced knowledge of database administration, Software development Life Sycle (SDLC), and systems analysis procedures
---Strong working knowledge of database software and operating systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

---Bachelor’s degree
---Three or more years as a production DBA
---Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) a plus
