The Sr. Systems Engineer – Data Center Operations will be responsible to perform complex Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange analytical and administration work.  Employees in this position are the primary personnel to implement, maintain, monitor and protect The Company's Active Directory and Exchange environments. Employee must be able to work independently and without constant supervision
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Proactively monitoring Active Directory infrastructure to ensure continued availability
-Proactively monitoring Exchange infrastructure environment to ensure continued availability of messaging services.
-Completing maintenance and support actions for the Windows servers running Active Directory and Exchange.
-Developing processes to increase efficiency and automate regular maintenance of support actions.
-Providing on-call support.
-Identifying and resolving problems with the Active Directory and Exchange environments.
-Provide 2nd level Active Directory/Email support to Help Desk personnel
-Assist Infrastructure team with testing and implementation of new software releases.
-Deploy software for service packs or emergency security patches.
-Monitor and quickly respond to viruses, spamming, DDOS attacks, and other security related issues.
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
 
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:  
-Installing, configuring, recovery, and troubleshooting Active Directory, as well as skills necessary for change and configuration management, including DNS, Group Policy and Active Directory Security solutions.  
-Must be able to show expertise in AD replication topology, design, forest backup/recovery, schema extensions, etc.
-Installing, configuring, recovery, and troubleshooting of Exchange 2007-2016.
-Installing, configuring, recovery, and troubleshooting of Lync 2013 and integration with IP-based phone systems.
-Thorough understanding of Microsoft’s PKI, or another similar Private Key Infrastructure.
-Proficient with system performance measuring and monitoring.
-Proficient with IIS and working knowledge of cryptographic protocols (SSL,TLS)
-Expertise in the areas of spam control, mobile devices, Powershell, archiving, lync and faxing
-Strong understanding of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP).
-Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
-Creativity in proactively developing approaches to problems and recommending actions to management, or implementing the recommendations.
-Experience in working with formal Patch Management and Change Control Systems.
-Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
-Strong team player, willingness to do whatever it takes to complete projects/assignments on time with high quality results.
-VMware ESX and other virtualization technology experience
-Strong PowerShell experience
-Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-Minimum 5 years' supporting Active Directory and Windows Server 2008 / 2012
-Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 with 5,000 plus registered e-mail accounts.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience with administration and support of Windows 2012 Server.
-Minimum 5 years' supporting Active Directory and Windows Server 2008 / 2012
-Minimum of 3 years' experience with systems management/monitoring tools (e.g. Operations Manager, Configuration Manager (SCOM/SCCM) is a plus.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is a plus.
-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or similar certification is a plus.
