 About the Role:

400K+ sales reps needed.  This is mix of hunting and expanding F1000 type clients.  There is a preference for a technical person turned sales rep with an enterprise sales training.  One of the top reps in the firm was hired by Golden Hire 4 years ago and has been doing great, product is relevant and in high demand, they are brought in on deals with SAP and Hadoop shops, the stock has outperformed the market over the last year.  They like to see big data, BI and infrastructure reps.  Hortonworks, Cloudera, Talend, Tableau, Qlik, Informatica are all good candidates.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience and understanding of the Data Integration, Big Data and Business Intelligence markets.  Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Database and/or Business Intelligence software products and concepts.
  • A working sales knowledge of Hadoop and Cloud concepts is highly beneficial
  • At least 6 years of successful sales experience with enterprise software with average deal sizes in the $250K to $1.5M range
  • Successful track record as a sales person that consistently delivers or exceeds quota.
  • Experience managing and closing large, complex sales cycles.
  • Able to work successfully with Field Sales Engineers and other pre-sales technical resources
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales revenue.
  • Experience in both a start-ups and large organizations is an advantage.
  • Good network of existing senior executive contacts within enterprises in the respective territory.
  • Position requires very little overnight travel.

Job Description/Qualifications:

 

The Director of Sales is responsible for selling software licenses, support, and professional services.

 

·         Experience and understanding of the Data Integration, Application Integration, and Business Intelligence markets.  Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Database and/or Business Intelligence software products and concepts.

 

·         At least 6 years of successful sales experience with enterprise software.  (Deal sizes $50 – 500K.)

 

  • Successful track record as a sales person (overachievement of personal targets/goals).

 

  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles involving Sales Engineers.

 

  • Forecast sales revenue.

 

  • Work experience in both a start-up and a large organization – an advantage.

 

  • Good network of existing senior executive contacts within enterprises in the respective territory (West Coast).

 

·         Educational and work experience should include a BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or related discipline.  An MBA is highly desirable. 

 

·         Position requires 40% travel.
