Title:  Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician 
Terms:  Contract
Shift: Day Shift - 6AM-6PM rotating shifts (4 days/week then 3 days/week) 
Overtime = Time & 1/2 paid for anything over 40 hours/week (i.e. 4 days weeks = 8 hours of OT)

OVERVIEW
Conexess is looking for a NOC Technician with knowledge and experience working in a 24x7 enterprise Network Operations Center with demonstrated capabilities to perform effective diagnosis / triage, manage critical incidents, and maintain key operational tools and processes to ensure overall availability, performance, health, and security of all services. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Enterprise Monitoring
  • Monitor services to ensure compliance with objectives for availability, performance, health, and security.
    • Primary Monitoring Technologies:
      • Splunk
      • Solarwinds
      • AlertSite
      • Arbor Prevail
    • Services Covered:
      • Global eCommerce platform.
      • Enterprise Line of Business applications.
      • Data Center Services.
      • Cloud Services.
      • 3rd-Party / Vendor Mananged Services.
Critical Incident and Event Management
  • Execute formal Incident Management process when required.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and effective communication through various methods.
  • Perform notification and escalation processes based on Tier requirements.
  • Perform testing to isolate issues and drive resolution.
  • Work with vendors on issue resolution and communications.
Operational Reporting, Process Execution, and Ad-Hoc Project Management
  • Provide Operational Shift Reports and Hand Off.
  • Perform defined operational processes and reporting.
  • Perform add/change/delete as required to ensure accurate and robust monitoring solutions.
  • Document processes, SOPs, etc. to ensure accurate information is available across the team.
  • Perform installs and upgrades for various NOC technologies.
  • Assist with various service-related projects as requested.
